ALL I NEED IS YOU
(Music and Lyrics by Steve McAndrew)

Verse 1
you were always there, i saw you every day
you made me so glad, but it was hard for me to say

Chorus 1
if not for you, this song would be so blue
if not for you, my world would cleave in two
if not for you, my dreams could not come true
ALL I NEED IS YOU

Verse 2
the years have passed and gently made their mark
the fun and the laughter of dancing in the dark

Chorus 2
if not for you, this race could not be run
if not for you, my life would be no fun
if not for you, my world would hold no son
ALL I NEED IS YOU

Middle 8
i hope you're there when all else has passed away
i want you back, to hear the words i want to say to you
i hope forever, to be standing by your side
if only i can swallow my foolish pride

Verse 3
i would like to present to you, the world and all within
i would gain so much pleasure, but where do i begin

Chorus 3
if not for you, i'm lost and so alone
if not for you, my heart's sunk like a stone
and if not for you, my house is not a home
all i'll ever need is you

Comment:- You don't need to be Einstein!! (but this was the second edition, certainly not the first!) I actually did record this song in a Penicuik studio some time in the '80's although the only copy I have left is a lowly cassette tape. I may restore it and put it up on the site sometime.
