COMING HOME

(Lyrics by Steve McAndrew)

Verse 1
come to me now, thoughts of smiling hearts and faces
calm relaxation rules the day on into evening on and on
thoughts of a place held deep inside
that can be reached at anytime
so special, unique, something true to believe in

Chorus 1
you give to me a love that's true
i have no urge to seek pastures new
many nights i sleep, i dream of you
and the day you took my hand and led me
to places i though i would never see
where time and tide and hearts run free
through the day we made that solemn decree
with our hearts and our minds
COMING HOME

Verse 2
western pressures build as all around the world keeps changing
sometimes good, mostly bad
see the furrowed lines on faces
that could still smile given the chance
if all their tensions they were released from
though this may be a forlorn hope
there's always one sure thing i do know

Chorus 2
you give to me a love that's true
i have no urge to seek pastures new
many nights i sleep, i dream of you
and the day you took my hand and led me
to places i though i would never see
where time and tide and hearts run free
through the day we made that solemn decree
with our hearts and our minds
COMING HOME

Middle 8
coming home to where the tide keeps turning
as the memories to my mind keep burning
thoughts and images in my head
i wish the whole wide world could see

Chorus 3
you give to me a love that's true
i have no urge to seek pastures new
many nights i sleep, i dream of you
and the day you took my hand and led me
to places i though i would never see
where time and tide and hearts run free
through the day we made that solemn decree
with our hearts and our minds
COMING HOME

Outro
never alone
COMING HOME

Comment:- This song is trying to capture the magic of a relationship of the heart. I suppose the moral is that although world conditions ever worsen, the memory of magical times can never be erased and although in my case this is Symi (and allegorically Linda) it could be whatever you want it to be.
