HAPPY NEW YEAR MY FRIENDS AND HERE'S TO A PRODUCTIVE YEAR HOPEFULLY! I SINCERELY HOPE YOU RECEIVE ALL YOU WISH FOR! Spent New Year at our good friend Jennifer's, and attended two Hogmanay parties at Helena's (where I played the acoustic and we had a sing-song) and Joe's before going to see the tar barrels procession at Allendale. It was quite an experience although I drew the short straw and volunteered to drive so had two pints throughout the evening until getting back to Allenheads. New Year's Day saw another gig in the local pub in Allenheads and we had a whale of a time, it was great!! Sadly however, things got a little fractious over the following week, due to her friend Jane's current separation from her husband Ray. Subsequent events appear to have heavily soured both Linda's and my relationship with Jen, which is very sad and although we have not fallen out with her, it is clear the reciprocal is not the case. All I will say in conclusion is that there are two sides to every story and as a metaphor, you should not believe everything you read in the papers. I have volunteered to sing another song on the musician's collaboration site that I really need to get started on but it's so hard to get moving after the festive season. |
